Life Cycle Analysis Specialist
This role is a key part of our sustainability strategy, focusing on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) techniques and processes primarily for PVC polymers and their intermediates.
* You will conduct LCA assessments and train others in LCA practices to help customers reduce their CO2 and energy footprint and related costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain LCA methodologies and tools as the go-to person for new LCA calculations.
2. Work closely with Sales and Application Support teams to reinforce Vynova's reputation as a reliable sustainable solutions supplier.
3. Collaborate with Technology, Sustainability, and Operations teams to improve product CO2 emissions/footprint and support customer targets.
4. Regularly report internal LCA improvements and implications to relevant teams and recommend upgrades and lead improvement projects.
5. Partner with peer subject matter experts at customers and external stakeholders to optimize LCA and footprint of Vinyls end products.
6. Report to the Vice President Sustainability.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
* At least 5 years of polymer chemical industry experience and similar experience with LCA methodologies/tool kits and principles.
* Able to generate impact and establish relationships/collaborations within and outside the organization.
* Strong analytical skills and able to train others in LCA practices.
* Customer-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Very good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French, German, or Dutch is an additional advantage.
* Distributed working time between home office and offices in Belgium, France, or The Netherlands.
* Willingness to travel 10-20% within Europe.
