IS Life – Data Modeler (Senior)

A leading insurance organization is strengthening its cloud-based data platform to support its ambition of becoming a truly data-driven company. To reinforce the IS Life Data Platform team, we are looking for an experienced Data Modeler.
🎯 Role & Responsibilities
* Design, evolve, and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse (eDWH) and analytical data models for the Life business line
* Translate conceptual models into logical models and define source-to-target mappings
* Collaborate closely with functional analysts on business and regulatory projects
* Support and advise operational teams on optimal OLTP data model design
* Lead and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with functional and technical design standards
* Manage and maintain functional documentation
🧠Profile
Experience
* Senior level: 5–8 years in data modeling and functional analysis
* Strong experience with star schema modeling and BI principles
* Solid understanding of insurance processes (Life insurance is a plus)
* Experience in Agile and/or Data Mesh environments is an asset
* Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
Technical Skills
* Expert in Kimball dimensional modeling and 3NF
* Strong Transact-SQL knowledge
* Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin)
* Nice to have: MS SQL Server, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Databricks (PySpark), Data Lakes
Soft Skills
* Structured, proactive, and quality-driven
* Pragmatic problem solver with a hands-on mindset
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Able to work effectively in a small, multicultural team
