Overview
Senior Engineer for Offshore Energy projects at Jan De Nul. As an experienced engineer, you will lead one of our major offshore projects from start to finish, contributing to offshore wind, rock installation, submarine cables, and energy islands. The role supports the transition to renewable energy and involves collaboration with multiple departments and project managers.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate projects from concept to delivery, from the Aalst office, on one of our projects worldwide, or aboard one of our ships.
* Schedule, draft, detail, and calculate execution methods for offshore works (rock dumping, cable laying, foundations, and installation of offshore wind farms).
* Develop related documentation into calculation notes and method statements.
* Supervise current works and handle follow-up after completion in collaboration with Project Management.
Qualifications
* A master’s degree in industrial or civil engineering sciences or related degree.
* Five years of engineering experience.
* Solution-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills.
* Keen interest in marine construction.
* Ability to guide people, strong planning and organizational talent, and excellent teamwork skills.
* Sense of adventure with the ability to work independently.

Work Rhythm
At the Aalst office: 40-hour week with occasional work-from-home opportunities. On ships: six weeks at sea with twelve-hour days, seven days a week, followed by six weeks off. Expat assignments: two months with twelve-hour days, six days a week, followed by one month off.
