To further strengthen our finance function, we are looking for a driven Financial Controller who will play a central role in financial reporting, consolidation and data quality across the group.
ContextTo support the further development of our finance organization and reporting capabilities, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller. In this role, you will co-own the group-wide financial reporting process and ensure the accuracy, consistency and relevance of financial data.You will work closely with finance, business controlling, ERP and operational teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and management reporting.Main ResponsibilitiesAs Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the quality and structure of financial reporting across the group.Your key responsibilities include:Taking ownership of the financial reporting process for the entire groupDefining, together with the ERP team, the structure of the data warehouse to ensure a solid reporting foundationMonitoring and safeguarding the quality of financial data, with a strong focus on analytical accounting structuresCoordinating and optimising the financial closing process to ensure timely and reliable reportingPerforming in-depth analyses on inventories, intercompany transactions and consolidationsApplying consolidation and elimination techniques within an integrated group structureCollaborating with business controlling to develop clear and insightful financial reports, covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capitalCombining actuals and forecasts to deliver accurate and relevant management informationPlaying a key role in the implementation of a new BI tool and contributing to future reporting improvementsContinuously identifying and implementing process optimisations in cooperation with finance and operationsSupporting the optimisation and adoption of the new ERP system, including training of colleaguesCoordinating the integration of newly acquired entities into the ERP environmentWorking primarily from the head office, with regular visits to other sites for alignment and collaboration
Your ProfileMaster's degree in Business Engineering, Commercial Sciences or equivalent through experienceProven experience in managing financial closing processes and reporting; knowledge of consolidation and audit is a strong assetStrong analytical mindset with a sharp eye for financial and accounting dataAccurate, structured and results-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team environmentAdvanced Excel skills and experience with BI toolsKnowledge of data cubes and ERP systems such as AFAS and/or Navision is considered a plusFluent in Dutch and French; basic knowledge of English
