Datacenter Operations Specialist
The Datacenter Project Manager is part of the Datacenter team. The role focuses on lifecycle management of datacenter, network, and hosting infrastructure, ensuring smooth upgrades and service improvements while minimizing disruption to end users.
Role Responsibilities
As Datacenter Project Manager, you are responsible for coordinating infrastructure replacement and improvement projects across remote sites and datacenter environments.
Your responsibilities include:
* Managing remote hardware replacement projects involving:
Network switches and routers
Network circuits and appliances
Nutanix platforms
UPS systems and PDUs
* Conducting impact and risk assessments to evaluate effects on end users and connected infrastructure
* Organizing technical prerequisites such as power provisioning, network connectivity, and resource planning
* Coordinating communication with end users and infrastructure teams
* Managing change processes in line with governance procedures
* Preparing and maintaining project documentation and reporting
* Providing ad-hoc on-site support in data centers or technical rooms when required
Profile & Experience
* MBO+ level education in IT or a technical discipline
* Minimum 10 years of experience within data center, hosting, or telecommunications environments
* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and structured cabling standards
* High-level knowledge of servers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure equipment
* Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments (preferred)
* Experience working with SOPs and technical specification documents
* Knowledge of ISO and BS standards is an advantage
Additional Skills & Attributes
* Strong documentation and reporting skills
* Experience with tools such as Cormant CableSolve and RF-Code Asset Manager is a plus
* Good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
* Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
* Structured, flexible, and able to perform under pressure
* Willing to work outside standard hours when required (including occasional Saturdays)

* Physically capable of performing data center-related tasks
