About the role
We are currently seeking motivated Test Rig Engineer [NVH Drivetrain Test System] to join our team. By joining us, you'll be part of a leading company that is shaping the future of hybrid transmission technology.
As an NVH Test Rig Engineer, your primary focus will be on the NVH test rig, ensuring the execution of component and system tests to assess NVH performance for conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
Job description
* Operate and develop one of the most advanced NVH test rigs in the region, conducting tests to evaluate the NVH performance for conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
* Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality operation, routine maintenance, necessary upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
* Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
* Develop and improve tests on test bench platforms such as PUMA and CANape, focusing on innovation and precision in performance evaluation.
* Collaborate closely with test engineering, NVH engineering, test rig operators, and various R&D departments to execute and optimize testing processes.
* Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs by setting and using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
* You will be working in the R&D Test Center department in Sint-Truiden where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.
Background & skills:
* Engineering degree that shows interest for mechatronic systems
* Prefereably, you have about 3 years of automotive experience
* Programming background is required.
* Experience in Labview would be a big plus
* Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, NVH and high voltage applications is essential.
* Knowledge of automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment and electro mechanics is an asset.
* You can communicate in English fluently
