Senior UX Designer (12-Month Contract + Extension)
Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Belgium | Long-Term Freelance OpportunityWe're supporting a major public sector organisation on the search for an experienced UX Designer to play a key role in designing intuitive, user-centred digital solutions.You'll join a multidisciplinary product team working alongside Product Owners, Program Managers, Full-Stack Developers, Test Specialists and AI specialists, contributing to impactful digital products in a complex and innovative environment.The RoleAs UX Designer, you'll help shape and improve digital experiences by translating user needs into clear interaction models and scalable design solutions.ResponsibilitiesGather and interpret user needs, translating them into user flows, interaction models and functionalitiesDesign user-friendly web and mobile experiences using established UX patterns and best practicesPlan, conduct and analyse user testing to validate and improve solutionsCollaborate within an established design function while contributing to broader design consistencySupport the evolution and expansion of design systemsWork closely with Product Owners and Developers to deliver both long-term concepts and sprint-based designsContribute within agile delivery teams across large and complex environmentsEngage and manage stakeholders across multiple business areasSkills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience as a UX DesignerStrong background in user-centred and responsive designProven experience designing digital products for web and mobileExperience designing content-led experiencesUnderstanding of front-end implementation (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience working in agile environments within large or complex xjsrcvq organisationsStrong stakeholder management skillsDutch language proficiency (CEFR C2) requiredFrench language skills are a strong plusToolsExperience with:FigmaJira / Confluence or similar collaboration toolsAI tools, ideally ClaudeAdobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision or similarContract12-month freelance contractLong-term programme workHigh-impact digital transformation projectCollaborative, multidisciplinary environmentIf this could be of interest, get in touch!
