For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
RTD.H.DEP.IT partners with Commission services to deliver IT solutions for Research and Innovation, supporting EU digital policies.
Within the CIC, the team develops and maintains eEXPERTS and eGRANTS systems. The Communication team manages documentation, user guides, and updates for these systems, and seeks a Web Operations Manager.
Below are the details of your role and requirements.
Your role
1. CMS and LMS Maintenance & Support:
* Support daily operations in the EEAS CMS Drupal platform, ensuring that the
existing training catalog is up-to-date.
* Communicate new offerings through news
articles, banners, and newsletters for LMS platforms.
2. Training Content Management:
* Support the EU-Learn and L&D Moodle LMS platforms by editing and creating
training content, including courses and Learning Paths based on the Training Maps
requested by the business.
3. E-learning Design & Creation:
* Design and create engaging e-learning solutions by combining different media formats (SCORM, MP4, PDF, PowerPoint presentations) for publication on both the EU Learn and L&D platforms.
4. Target Group Design:
* Prepare target groups for training courses based on the Training Maps provided by
Course Managers, ensuring the correct audience is targeted for each training.
5. Audio-Video Support:
* Provide support for audio-video recordings and post-production, including closed captioning preparation, ensuring accessibility for staff with hearing impairments.
6. Multilingual Support:
* Assist in the manual and automated translation of content, particularly for multilingual products using .xliff content (XML format).
7. Second Line Support:
* Provide second-line support for LMS and CMS tools, working closely with the first line IT Helpdesk and platform administrators.
8. Technical Improvement Contributions:
* Participate in regular meetings with platform administrators to provide input on
ongoing issues and suggest potential improvements.
9. Documentation and Knowledge Base Maintenance:
* Maintain comprehensive documentation using OpenText or similar tools, ensuring all CMS and LMS processes are up to date. Edit and create new Knowledge Base articles for both technical teams and end-users.
10. Metrics and Reporting:
* Support the preparation of Learning and Development metrics related to the training programs offered, providing insights into participation and success rates.
11. General L&D Support:
* Assist with any other activities carried out by the L&D team.

Who we think you are:
* Experience in LMS: At least three years of experience working with LMS systems, with a solid understanding of roles (editor, course manager, end-user) and workflows in these platforms.
* CMS Experience: Proven experience with CMS platforms, particularly Drupal, and a strong understanding of various roles within these systems.
* Technical Skills:
Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and PHP in a LAMP stack. Proficiency in front-end JavaScript for web applications, specifically for Mozilla Firefox and Google
Chrome.
* E-Learning Tools:
Extensive experience with e-learning creation tools such as Articulate 360 (or similar) and graphic design tools from the Adobe Creative Suite.
* Translation Experience:
Experience working with .xliff content (XML format) for translation and localization
of e-learning content.
* Communication Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in presenting and
promoting e-learning projects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Project Management Tools:
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar, and strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
* Problem-Solving Mindset:
Ability to provide practical solutions to challenges encountered in the CMS and LMS platforms and maintain flexibility in meeting client needs
* Resilience & Organization:
Ability to manage high-pressure situations, deliver quality work in a structured way,
and maintain productivity in a dynamic environment.
