SHAPE supports SACEUR by providing strategic‑level command and control across all domains and regions. Within the Command Group, the Office of the Chief of Staff ensures full‑ spectrum support to COS/Vice‑COS. The Programme Office for the new Supreme Headquarters (POSH) leads all activities related to the development and transition to the future SHAPE HQ. The Transition Team coordinates SHAPE user requirements and synchronises with Host Nations, National Military Representatives, and other stakeholders involved in the wider Transformation Programme. The Project Manager (Version Control) supports the Version Control Management Process, ensuring consistency, alignment, and traceability of deliverables across multiple Host Nation‑led projects. The role provides subject‑matter expertise to organisational and business change activities, contributing to the effective implementation of CP 5A0147Rev1. Location: Mons, Belgium. Duration: project‑dependent, up to 3 years.
Principal Duties
* Create, implement, and monitor procedures related to Version Control to ensure consistency and traceability of design, as‑built, proposals, modifications and transformations across all phases of the new SCF delivery.
* Coordinate with SHAPE organisational and business change managers to facilitate understanding and acceptance of the Transformation deliverables of the SHAPE SCF programme.
* Receive, log and review new requests, facilitating their evaluation and approval through established workflows to align with project goals and resources.
* Oversee the integration of all amendment requests for user requirements related to Transition Project activities and support their timely resolution by the concerned Host Nation.
* Verify that all adaptations, amendments and version updates comply with contractual obligations, industry standards and regulatory guidelines, including architectural or technical drawings, ICT/CIS implementation plans, security plans, legal documentation and internal agreements.
* Assist the Transition Manager in organising the Transition Working Group activities, providing updates and ensuring effective decision‑making with project stakeholders.
* Support the Communication Manager to ensure appropriate communication of Transition Activities involving New Ways of Working.
* Highlight and follow up on risks generated by any type of variation or adaptation, developing mitigation strategies for senior leadership.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, conducting regular technology assessments and making recommendations for adoption.
Special Requirements and Additional Duties
The employee may be required to perform a similar range of duties elsewhere within the organisation at the same grade without any change to the contract. Undertakes all additional duties as directed by the Director POSH. Work may require occasional visits to construction sites, including safety and hard‑hat areas. Light risk of injury applies.
Essential Qualifications
* University degree in architecture or a related discipline from an institute of recognized standing.
* 2 to 4 years of experience on medium‑to‑large‑scale infrastructure projects with proven skills in version control and design change management.
* Experience in organisational change management, preferably related to workplace transformation.
* In‑depth understanding of contractual frameworks, building regulations and industry standards for infrastructure delivery and public procurement in Europe.
* English proficiency – SLP 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
Desirable Qualifications
* Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Power BI, MS Project or similar for generating metrics and reports.
* Experience in communications strategies for New Ways of Working and experience working in public or international institutions.
* Knowledge of automation design software (e.g., Archibus, Planon, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
* French – SLP 2222.
* Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
* ITIL Foundation and/or Intermediate.
* Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management.
* Qualifications in organisational change management and risk management training.

Remarks
Duration of contract: contract is limited to the lifespan of the New SCF Transition Project; on project completion staff will be offered a definite duration contract of 3 years, renewable subject to project timeline. Salary: base entry‑level monthly salary defined by the NATO Grade, possibly augmented by allowances and subject to pension and medical insurance contributions.
