Vulcain Engineering is an international engineering company supporting major industrial players across sectors such as energy, chemicals, and infrastructure. In Belgium, we are growing rapidly and expanding our strategic activities in the Antwerp industrial region.
To support this development, we are looking for a motivated Business Development Intern to help strengthen the link between our engineering office in Wales (UK) and our operations in Belgium.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in supporting Vulcain’s commercial expansion in the Antwerp industrial sector. Working closely with both our team in Belgium and our engineering experts of InSite, situated in Wales (UK), you will:
Support the development of Vulcain’s presence within key industrial stakeholders in the Antwerp region, with a strong focus on newest technologies in SAF, Bio-diesel and the petrochemical transition.
Identify commercial opportunities, potential partnerships, and relevant engineering needs based on local market insights.
Act as a bridge between the engineering office and our Belgian business activities to ensure alignment of capabilities, proposals, and client expectations.
Participate in client meetings, market research, and business intelligence activities.
Contribute to the preparation of offers, presentations, and commercial materials.
Collaborate with the Brussels-based team to support ongoing business development initiatives.
As part of your mission, you will work:
50% of your time in Wales (within our engineering office)
50% if your time in Brussels, with regular visits to the Antwerp region.
This unique setup will give you exposure to both technical engineering environments and on-the-ground commercial roles.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a dynamic student with:
A background in industrial engineering or bioengineering (catalytic specialization is a plus).
A strong interest in business development and the industrial sector.
Language skills: Dutch and English are required ; French is a plus.
Strong communication, analytical, and networking abilities.
Availability to start ASAP for a period of 6 to 12 months .
Curiosity, autonomy, and a proactive mindset.
