Join Elia Group, a leading European transmission network operator, to design and implement high‑voltage cables and lines within Belgium’s 30–380 kV transmission network.
Elia Engineering is responsible for infrastructure projects that meet the needs for development, expansion, and renewal of the Belgian transmission network. As Technical Designer Kabels & Lijnen you play a crucial role in the design and implementation of high‑voltage cables and lines.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and prepare technical plans and schematics for high‑voltage cables and lines.
* Execute quality checks on designs and plans and propose improvements.
* Collaborate with project leaders, internal departments, and external partners to realize technical solutions.
* Manage and follow up on planning for cable and line designs and ensure deadlines are met.
* Support technical analyses and documentation for cable and line projects.
* Evaluate and control technical dossiers and specifications of external partners.
* Assist in technical discussions with internal and external parties.
Qualifications
* Diploma in a technical field such as electrical engineering, electromechanics, automation, or civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Experience designing technical installations and familiarity with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD or MicroStation).
* Analytical and accurate work attitude with eye for detail and quality.
* Team player with strong communication skills and customer‑oriented mindset.
* Strong motivation to further develop and build expertise within your field.
* Experience with high‑voltage cables and lines or infrastructure projects is a plus.
* Good knowledge of Dutch or French, with a basic knowledge of the other language.
