JOB DESCRIPTION

🌱 Build a new growth driver in AgriFoodTech

The CER Group is a research centre and a recognised innovation partner in Europe within the life sciences sector. It offers an integrated service combining bioproduction, preclinical evaluation and advanced analytics to support its clients in their R&D projects and beyond.

Against a backdrop of strong growth in AgriFoodTech (food safety, biosolutions, functional ingredients, fermentation, nutrition and health, etc.), the CER aims to strengthen its position and structure its European development within this sector.

In this context, we are seeking an AgriFoodTech Business Developer who can actively contribute to building this strategic growth driver.

YOUR ROLE

You will play a key role in the CER’s commercial and strategic development within the AgriFoodTech sector.

Your role goes beyond sales: you will help shape the market, clarify the value proposition and create opportunities for innovation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

🔎 Business development & market expansion

• Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities in Europe;
• Build a strong client portfolio in the AgriFoodTech, FoodTech and Biotech sectors;
• Develop a structured pipeline of opportunities.

🤝 Account development & partnerships

• Retain and grow existing accounts;
• Identify and establish strategic partnerships (with industry, academia and clusters);
• Position the CER as a key partner in AgriFood innovation.

🧭 Strategic & marketing input

• Help shape the CER’s AgriFoodTech offering;
• Clarify and develop the value proposition;
• Identify market trends (biosolutions, probiotics, enzymes, functional ingredients, etc.).

🔗 Science/Market Interface

• Translate complex customer requirements into concrete projects in collaboration with technical teams;
• Liaise with scientific and technical teams.

YOUR PROFILE

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field;
• You have significant experience in business development within the life sciences / AgriFoodTech sector;
• You have strong prospecting and business development skills;
• You have the ability to understand and promote a complex scientific offering;
• You have a cross-functional perspective and the ability to connect different areas of expertise;
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are results-oriented;
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• You are fluent in French, English and Dutch.
