Our client is a leading European R&D organization dedicated to next-generation computing platforms and semiconductor technologies. Operating at the intersection of advanced AI hardware, system architecture, and 3D integration, the organization drives innovation that shapes the future of intelligent computing systems across industries.
To support this mission, they are seeking a Technical Expert / Program Manager / Director to lead strategic R&D initiatives in Computing & AI Chipset and System domains. This role involves evaluating emerging technologies, shaping long-term technical roadmaps, and guiding cross-functional innovation at both the architectural and system levels.
Responsibilities
Lead research and feasibility analysis of cutting-edge computing and 3D integrated circuits technologies.
Define and drive cross-functional innovation programs aligned with strategic goals.
Produce technical reports and strategic analyses to inform senior leadership decisions.
Guide early validation efforts through simulations, prototyping, and experimental studies.
Build and manage collaborations with academic and industrial partners at the international level.
Advise on system design, packaging, interconnect, and architecture strategies.
Organize internal knowledge-sharing sessions and technical seminars.
Contribute to long-term roadmaps for computing architecture, semiconductor integration, and AI hardware.
Requirements
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Architecture, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in industry or academia, with a focus on:
AI/ML hardware systems or accelerators
3DIC architecture and physical design
Advanced packaging technologies (e.g., wafer-to-wafer, die-to-wafer)
Low-power design, signal/power integrity, and interconnect infrastructure
Proven ability to evaluate emerging technologies through literature reviews, simulations, and technical assessments.
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary, cross-functional projects.
Strong analytical mindset with strategic thinking capabilities.
Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Comfortable with international collaboration and occasional travel.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for reporting and stakeholder presentations.
