For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
The Directorate-General for Trade conducts the EU's common policy on trade with countries beyond the EU borders.
This covers, among other things, Trade negotiations with countries outside the EU, improving market access for exporters and importers, ensuring that fair practices are applied to international trade and assessing the environmental and social impacts of trade.
DG Trade's IT unit has a portfolio of around 20 information systems used internally and externally including websites.
Your role
Typical tasks of a Data Warehouse and Reporting Developer are related to:
• Operational aspects of the data warehouse.
• Development and maintenance on Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW).
• Development and maintenance of the software - web or standalone - applications and the catalogue of reports related to the data warehouse.
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
Operational production:
• Dataset updates.
• Data extractions.
• Report generation.
Maintenance:
• Reports catalogue maintenance.
• ETLT process corrections and improvements.
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.
• DB performance analysis.
Design/Development of:
• ETLT processes.
• Reporting applications.
• Physical DB.
• Test programs.
Other aspects:
• Writing technical documentation.
• Participation in meetings with other project teams.
• Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developer
