About the role
This Alliance Management Quality lead role is instrumental to ensure appropriate Quality oversight of UCB commercial partners involved in the commercialization and distribution of UCB products across the geographies.
This position is part of the Distribution and Market Quality leadership team and includes the management of a team of 6 people. The primary objectives of this role are to provide quality oversight and lifecycle management of UCB global commercial partners, ensure effective liaison between UCB global stakeholders and the partner (and vice versa) on quality related topics, manage quality activities with divestment partners during transition period, as needed, and implement and maintain effective consistent quality operations within the team. This role also entails responsibility for staff and talent management, including performance management and professional development.
You will work with
The Alliance Management Quality lead role reports to the Head of Distribution and Market Quality. You will partner with a large panel of stakeholders within UCB (e.g. Internal and External Manufacturing Quality, CMC Quality Leads, Global Quality auditors, CMO Management, Analytical experts, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Business Development, etc…) and outside UCB (Quality key contacts at the commercial partners).
What you’ll do
1. Articulate the goals and expectations for your team to secure, establish, optimize and elevate Alliance Management Quality operations and have the end accountability of the Alliance Management Quality activities.
2. Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to the different activities to achieve quality compliance in-line with UCB’s vision and values, stimulating the integration and collaboration between the different team members.
3. Ensure proper qualification and routine audit of the commercial partners. Participate to partners GxP audit and host partners’ audit, as required.
4. Ensure establishment and maintenance of Quality Agreements with all the commercial partners
5. Manage a list of commercial partners and keep the information up to date
6. Promote strong collaborative partnership with UCB internal stakeholders to obtain a thorough understanding of potential areas of quality, regulatory or safety risks.
7. Ensure collaborative relationship is established with the commercial partners, and proper communication is established on multiple quality topics, including review/approval of deviations, changes, complaints and recalls as required.
8. Be the Process Data Owner (PDO) for the IT systems owned and used by the Quality Alliance management team
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
9. Master’s Degree in Scientific and/or Pharmaceutical field and/or Engineering
10. Previous experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry within regulated areas (e.g., Manufacturing, Distribution) and/or Quality Assurance expertise (10 years relevant experience). A previous team management experience is an asset.
11. In depth knowledge and understanding of the complexity of the BioPharma business and GXP principles
12. Very good organizational skills, holistic thinking and result oriented
13. Strong communication and negotiation skills
14. Able to navigate and manage the unknown, and interact with a large panel of internal and external stakeholders
15. Able to act in most circumstances without direct supervision and handle complex/ difficult situations.
