Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is a highly professional organization with approximately 20 audit teams across the globe and comprises a diverse international team of around 400 members. Corporate Audit Services (CAS) BE is one of these teams and conducts and coordinates audits within ING BE.

The Intern is part of the CAS Tech BE team, a dedicated team assessing the control environment within the technology and data management areas. In this role, you will, together with your colleagues, audit processes within the tech and data management domains of ING Belgium and Luxembourg to assess whether controls have been designed adequately and implemented effectively.

Your key responsibilities
· Participate in audits in various Tech and Data Management domains;
· Learn a thorough understanding of the businesses and end‑to‑end processes audited, inherent risks, underlying regulatory requirements, and ING‑expected control frameworks;
· Assess whether key risks are adequately mitigated by evaluating the effectiveness of key controls;
· Participate in walkthroughs, meetings, and data analytics;
· Learn to interact with stakeholders and manage expectations. Ensure that issues identified during fieldwork are discussed and agreed upon with relevant stakeholders;
· Learn adequate tools and techniques to enhance audit coverage and deliver high‑quality control testing results;
· Learn to summarize findings and value‑added recommendations. Document fieldwork test results and supporting evidence in TeamMate+ (Audit Workflow) within agreed timelines;
· Learn to write audit reports in line with CAS report writing standards.

· Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch or French is considered a plus.
· Educational background in Economics, Information Technologies, or any other related field is required.
