Position: Logistics Coordinator – Coffee Division As Logistics Coordinator within the Coffee Division, you play a vital operational role in the physical execution of Sopex's global coffee contracts. From origin to destination, you ensure that each shipment flows seamlessly across the supply chain by coordinating closely with shipping agents, ports, warehouses, customs, clients, and internal teams. This position requires both structure and adaptability, as well as a strong sense of accountability toward clients, traders, and the broader execution process. Through accurate document handling, proactive communication, and a problem-solving mindset, you help guarantee timely deliveries, contractual compliance, and cost efficiency — all while safeguarding Sopex's reputation in international coffee markets. Key Responsibilities Full-cycle shipment execution: Coordinate all steps from booking to final delivery for sea and land shipments. Shipping documentation: Prepare, verify, and dispatch all export/import documents (B/L, invoices, certificates, customs declarations) according to contract terms and international trade regulations. Stakeholder coordination: Liaise daily with suppliers, shipping lines, warehouses, customs agents, clients, and internal teams (Trade, Finance, Risk). Cargo & insurance: Ensure that all cargo is properly insured at the point of possession and stored in compliance with contract requirements. Data & systems management: Maintain up-to-date shipment records in Caja or related systems. Monitor shipping status, verify EUDR data via GRAS and DDS, and track exposures. Client support: Provide weekly shipment overviews to key traders, handle pre-invoice confirmations, and resolve issues related to delays or documentation. Invoicing & payments: Verify supplier and warehouse invoices; coordinate payments andLCs with the Finance Department. Internal reporting: Report critical delays or irregularities to the Head of Logistics and provide weekly operational updates. Competencies & Skills Education & Experience Minimum bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in international logistics, supply chain, or commodity contract execution is a plus Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Incoterms, maritime documentation, customs procedures, and certification flows. Proficiency in ERP systems (Caja, GRAS, or similar logistics databases). Financial literacy: ability to verify invoices, check credit limits, and align with Finance and Trade teams. Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook). Soft Skills Structured and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills. Strong communicator, capable of managing daily interactions with international stakeholders. Calm under pressure, proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Multitasker with clear prioritization and a team-oriented mindset.
