Havas Media Belgium is looking for a Senior Social Media Trader to strengthen our Social Media team.

You will lead the day-to-day activation of paid social campaigns and turn performance data into clear recommendations for clients and internal teams. You will work closely with Client Service and Strategy, and collaborate with platform partners to continuously improve results.
What you will do
As Senior Social Media Trader, you ensure trading excellence across your client portfolio: flawless execution, rigorous pacing and optimization, and transparent performance storytelling.
You bring a test-and-learn mindset, share learnings proactively, and help teams translate platform changes into tangible growth opportunities.
* Own end-to-end paid social execution: setup, trafficking, QA, and go-live across platforms.
* Translate objectives into targeting, measurement, and creative/ad format recommendations (prospecting, retargeting, lead gen, e-commerce, awareness).
* Manage pacing and budget delivery; keep plans on track and within approved budgets.
* Optimize continuously using platform signals and Excel/BI analysis (audiences, placements, creatives, bidding, frequency, conversion paths).
* Define and monitor KPIs, identify drivers of performance, and translate results into actionable next steps.
* Deliver crisp reporting and performance reviews (monthly/quarterly) for clients and internal stakeholders, including the Trading Manager.
* Run benchmarks and contribute to a test-and-learn roadmap (new formats, platform features, measurement improvements).
* Stay on top of platform updates, privacy/measurement changes, and category trends to proactively bring opportunities to clients.
Who we are looking for
Must-have
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in paid social trading and performance optimization (agency or in-house).
* Strong knowledge of the social advertising ecosystem (e.g., Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X) and performance best practices.
* Highly analytical: strong Excel skills (pivoting, formulas) and ability to interpret data; BI/dashboarding experience is a plus.
* Proven ability to own campaigns for established brands, from brief to performance review.
* Clear communicator: comfortable presenting results, insights, and recommendations to client and internal stakeholders.
* Well-organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-have
* Master's degree in Marketing/Communication or a quantitative discipline.
* Understanding of ad tech / martech fundamentals (tracking, cookies, attribution, measurement constraints).
* Strong curiosity and problem-solving mindset; eager to test new formats and platform features.
