Tasks and responsibilities:
As an Accounting Director you have a key leadership role within the finance organization of Bleckmann. This versatile position is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations across the group and ensuring consistent, high-quality financial reporting. The role requires close collaboration with regional Business Partners, the Controlling Director and the Group CFO. As a member of the Finance Management Team, the Accounting Director supports strategic initiatives and contributes to the company's financial transformation and integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take part in all the financial processes
* Member of the Finance management team
* Provide financial leadership in all major transformation processes within Finance
* Coordinating the development and application of all financial accounting practices
* Ownership of internal controls
* Assisting project managers and risk management
* Provide high quality and timely periodic and year-end closing and reporting
* Consolidation and (local) statutory accounts
* Promote and create a continuous improvement culture within your departments and the finance organization
* Manage a team of more than 25 FTE's over 4 countries
* Take an active role in Merger & Acquisition files
Profile:
* You have a master's degree in economics (or similar)
* At least 7 years' experience in a similar role, with minimum 2 years of international experience
* Excellent people management skills, is a real change manager and has a structured approach
* A leaderships style that develops trust and respect
* An entrepreneurial mindset and knows how to deal with problems
* Speaks English and fluently Dutch is recommended
* Good knowledge of SAP FiCo
* Knowledge of local GAAP in NL, BE, UK & IFRS
* Open to travel in Belgium and 2 to 3 times a month to the UK and the Netherlands
