The Digitalization Program Engineer is a position within the Clinical Supply CoDev Team and is responsible for designing and building practical digital tools that simplify our daily work, and improve data gathering. This will ensure that Clinical Supply Puurs colleagues are positioned to be able to advance New Product initiatives through our pipeline, moving at the speed of science.
This is a hands-on implementation role. You will work closely with end users to understand their needs, translate them into clear requirements, and deliver solutions using various digital tools.
You will also identify where AI can help, connect with existing initiatives, and support the adoption and implementation of those capabilities within CoDev.
Responsibilities:
* Build and implement a digital documentation system to replace paper batch records in production
* Build and implement digital solutions in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)
* Scout and pilot AI and digital tools within and outside the network that can bring practical value to daily operations
* Understand user needs, by actively engaging with colleagues trough stakeholder interviews and job shadowing
* Identify and develop opportunities to digitalize process-related workflows, documentation, and data flows within CoDev (e.g. MBRs, process data, knowledge capture) and the broader Clinical Supply Puurs department
* Inspire and coach colleagues to adopt new ways of working that accelerate our performance through optimized digital processes and technologies
* Evaluate digital proposals for manufacturing system and application needs across Clinical Supply (S2F2)
* Communicate progress and challenges to relevant stakeholders and management
* Apply continuous improvement methods to pilot ideas, and deliver bottom line, quantified results
* Be an active and visible change agent, fostering a flexible and open mindset to new opportunities, and increasing digital competencies across Clinical Manufacturing Puurs.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree: Bio-Engineer, Industrial Pharmacist, Civil or Industrial Engineer, Master or PhD in a scientific direction; or Master's degree in IT with experience in a GMP environment
* +3 y relevant experience
* Strong affinity with digitalization, data, and AI concepts; hands-on experience is a strong asset
* Excellent computer skills with MS Office and knowledge management systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) and SharePoint/Dataverse is a plus
* Experience with additional tools such as Python, SQL, or VBA is a plus
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities and objectives simultaneously
* Ability to work independently on individual goals and contribute collaboratively to team goals; enjoys achieving goals through collaborative effort
* Knowledge of GMPs is a plus
