Our client, a leading energy company in Belgium, is preparing to launch a major multi-year transformation focused on SAP, SAS and Oracle storage migration. They are assembling a specialist team to drive a complex migration from SAS to Snowflake with SAP integrations and Azure landing zones. The Programme Manager will sit at the centre of this delivery. You will bridge the gap between deeply technical engineering teams and senior business stakeholders. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable discussing architecture as they are managing timelines, risks and executive expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the full programme lifecycle for a large scale SAS to Snowflake migration involving SAP and Oracle touchpoints, with Azure as the cloud landing environment.
• Lead cross functional teams of architects, data engineers and SAP Oracle specialists.
• Build and manage detailed programme plans, budgets and reporting structures.
• Drive governance, risk management and stakeholder alignment across IT and the business.
• Coordinate delivery across vendors, internal teams and nearshore or offshore resources.
• Ensure best practice around cloud migration, Snowflake implementation and integration with SAP.
• Manage escalation paths, decision steering and executive communication.
• Support the client in shaping long term delivery models for a programme expected to run for four years.
Required Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a Programme Manager delivering large data or cloud programmes.
• Strong understanding of SAS environments and migrations to Snowflake.
• Experience with SAP landscapes.
• Familiarity with Oracle and cloud landing architectures, ideally Azure.
• Ability to translate technical detail into clear business language.
• Strong governance, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating in complex, regulated industries, ideally energy or utilities.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with professional English.
