About the Role
We are looking for an Intermediate Data Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal data role in our digital transformation. You'll be responsible for analyzing, facilitating data cleansing activities and preparing data to support various business projects and systems. This position requires someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Mapping
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document data requirements for various projects.
2. Perform detailed analysis of data structures to identify gaps, redundancies, and inconsistencies.
3. Develop and maintain data mapping documents to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
Data Cleansing & Transformation
4. Collaborate with other data teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, such as missing values, duplicates, or outdated information.
5. Work together with technical teams to apply data transformation rules and ensure data compatibility with new platforms and business requirements.
6. Support data validation efforts to ensure the integrity of transformed data.
Data Governance & Business Rule Definition:
7. Liaise closely with Data Modelers, Architects and business stakeholders to ensure the technical data structure (the blueprint) is built correctly to enforce your defined business rules.
8. Your distinct responsibility is to define what "good" data looks like from a business perspective, while the Data Modelers and Architects are responsible for the technical design and build of the data models that support your definitions.
Data Integration & Reporting
9. Support the development and execution of data integration strategies, ensuring data flows correctly and efficiently.
10. Assist in the creation of data migration plans, schedules, and testing procedures for new system implementations.
11. Prepare and maintain regular progress reports, status updates, and issue tracking for the project team and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Documentation
12. Document all findings, processes, and procedures related to data analysis and integration.
13. Work closely with IT teams, Data teams, business analysts, and end-users to ensure successful project execution and data integrity.
14. Provide data-related insights and support to resolve issues during testing and implementation.
Qualifications
15. 3-5 years of experience in a data analysis role.
16. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
17. Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
18. Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management is a plus
19. Excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
20. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
21. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
