Sales Engineer / Technical Inside Sales

For a growing, internationally active company, we are looking for a Sales Engineer / Technical Inside Sales who enjoys customer interaction, technical challenges, and developing tailored solutions.
This is not a pure sales role — it’s a position where technical expertise and commercial insight truly go hand in hand.

You will join a company active in electrical applications, connector solutions, and power supplies, supporting industries such as industrial automation and future-oriented mobility.
They operate as a specialized knowledge and distribution partner within a technical niche market. From early design phases to final delivery, they work closely with customers to develop the right solution — ranging from individual components to fully customized systems, including supporting services.

Your role
Depending on your experience, you will either start in a more inside sales-focused position, or take on broader responsibilities as a Sales Engineer managing your own clients and projects.
Your responsibilities include:
* Acting as the first point of contact for customers (phone & email)
* Following up leads and turning opportunities into concrete projects
* Understanding the customer’s technical needs and translating them into feasible solutions
* Preparing and following up on quotations and pricing
* Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to define the right technical setup
* Building long-term relationships with existing customers
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Managing projects from A to Z, with attention to quality, timing, and commercial success

Requirements
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a technical-commercial profile who can combine customer interaction, analytical thinking, and structured follow-up.
You meet most of the following expectations:
* A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a technical and/or commercial field
* Strong affinity with electrical applications, automation, or technical products
* Comfortable in a role where advisory, relationship management, and solution selling come together
* Able to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical, workable solutions
* 5-10 years experience
* Structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proactive, hands-on, and able to take ownership of your dossiers
* Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
* Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written
* Good command of English
