We are Hiring: Senior Business Analyst – Risk & Credits | Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the leading financial institution in Brussels. This role offers the opportunity to work on strategic risk transformation initiatives and help enhance the organization’s credit risk infrastructure.
As part of the Risk Cluster, you will contribute to improving and consolidating risk calculations into a centralized platform that supports:
✔ Credit acquisition
✔ Credit risk monitoring & reporting
✔ Regulatory capital management
✔ Model integration and simplification initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications
* Convert business needs into technical specifications and pseudo-code
* Develop SQL queries using Sybase IQ for reporting purposes
* Use SQL Server and Oracle SQL for testing and analysis
* Document ETL/data transformation rules
* Support developers in translating requirements into C# solutions
* Contribute to business process monitoring frameworks, particularly for batch processing
* Ensure quality deliverables while meeting project deadlines
Required Experience:
✔ 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, functional analysis, or development roles
✔ Strong expertise in SQL
✔ Experience in large scale IT development, with C# and SQL
✔ Experience in testing and requirement documentation
✔ Experience working in large-scale IT environments
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
➕ Credit risk knowledge (CRR3, MCD, regulatory frameworks)
➕ Experience with C# programming
➕ XML/SOAP knowledge
➕ Machine learning/business rules implementation experience
➕ Economics or Mathematics background
Language Requirements:
* English: Fluent written communication
* Dutch or French: Good speaking and writing skills
