For Peyo Company, I am looking for a Contract Manager for a period of six months. Fluent in French with excellent command of English.

Peyo Company is the trading name of IMPS, the worldwide licensor of the Smurfs and the exclusive entity responsible for the exploitation of Peyo's creations, characters and brands. It includes a dynamic licensing programme with complementary activities in merchandising and promotions, book publishing, broadcasting and other audiovisual rights, music, exhibitions and events.
IMPS is a family owned company, founded and chaired by Peyo's daughter, Véronique Culliford.
Function
As a member of the legal team, you will be involved in the management of IMPS' licensing and publishing agreements and will contribute to the drafting and review of agreements related to the use of the company's intellectual property rights.
You will work under the supervision of the Head of Legal Department & Business Affairs and collaborate closely with colleagues from both the legal and commercial teams in a pragmatic and business-oriented environment.
More specifically, you will:
Draft and review international licensing agreements and related side agreements, and follow them up until signatureAdapt and manage standard contract templates, including agreements generated through internal systemsVerify contract terms and conditions in the licensing database and ensure data accuracyCollaborate with the commercial department to reflect negotiated business terms in contractual documentationPerform administrative and system-related checks in relation to contractsEnsure compliance with applicable regulations and internal guidelinesContribute to ongoing legal and business discussions within the team
Profile
You hold a Master's degree in law, with an interest in commercial lawYou have experience in contract drafting, ideally involving licensing agreementsYou have a keen interest in the entertainment industry. A passion for and interest in the Smurfs and the comics industry is a real plusYou have strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenYou are rigorous, detail-oriented and reliableYou are well organised and able to manage priorities efficientlyYou are business-minded and solution-orientedYou are able to collaborate with commercial stakeholders and provide pragmatic input when neededYou are fluent in French and have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with a strong focus on drafting
