About the Role
Based in Wieze, Belgium, the Chocolate Academy Chef for the German market, a native German speaker, will support the Head of Chocolate Academy in promoting the Callebaut brand in the German-speaking markets, while contributing to its international reputation. The role focuses on delivering customer sessions, offering technical expertise, developing products, and providing training, with emphasis on strengthening the brand in Germany while contributing to global initiatives when needed.
This role involves 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the customer journey by developing relevant concepts based on customer briefs, primarily for industrial customers.
* Guarantee a perfect execution of the Inspirational and Co-Creation days for all typologies of customers.
* Inspire customers by showcasing our relevant product portfolio on inspiring creations.
* Present the concepts at customer sites, partner kitchens, or one of our Academy locations.
* Create and develop new product applications per segment in coordination with Marketing, including photoshoots and video shoots.
* With the team, ensure the local development of Global brands by identifying the right initiatives to support sales growth.
* Support national fairs and events in Germany together with the marketing and sales manager.
* Act as a local influencer within the internal Callebaut chef community and national chef community; stay connected to the German and Austrian Ambassador network.
* Travel requirements: around 2 weeks per month in the DACH region.
* Monitor the activity of the Chocolate Academy with the dedicated tools (Salesforce and CRM).
About You
* Degree in culinary school (confectionery and pastry; ice cream is a nice to have).
* Degree in Food Technology or Gastronomy Science is nice to have.
* Deep knowledge of pastry and confectionery techniques for all typologies of customers in food manufacturing, chains, key accounts, in-store bakery & global accounts business organization.
* Degustation and food pairing skills.
* Knowledge of B2B market and production organization of pastry businesses, pastry shops, hotels, restaurants and chocolate shops.
* Strong communication and public speaking skills.
* Experience working in a multi-cultural international environment.
* Strong business acumen.
* Organizational and anticipation skills.
* Fluent English and German skills in both spoken and written form are required to support clients professionally and confidently.
