TEST ENGINEER - ANTWERP (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONWe are seeking a Test Engineer to support the validation and verification of complex electronic and embedded systems. This role sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and systems engineering, ensuring that electronic products, firmware, and integrated systems meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements before release.You will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing both automated and manual test scenarios across hardware and software interfaces. A key part of the role involves building robust Python-based test automation frameworks to validate embedded devices, electronic subsystems, and end-to-end system behaviour.You will work closely with electronics engineers, firmware developers, and product teams to translate technical requirements into structured, repeatable test coverage.Key Responsibilities:Define, design, and maintain detailed test scenarios and test cases based on system, hardware, and firmware requirementsDevelop Python-based automated test frameworks and scripts for validating electronic and embedded systemsExecute functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing across hardware/software interfacesInterface with electronic test equipment (e.G. oscilloscopes, logic analysers, signal generators, power supplies where applicable)Identify, document, and track defects in hardware, firmware, and software components through resolutionCollaborate with electronics engineers, embedded software developers, and product teams to ensure complete test coverageIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments where applicableAnalyse test data and provide clear reporting on product quality, failures, and trendsSupport continuous improvement of test processes, automation frameworks, and lab/test infrastructureRequired Skills & Experience:Proven experience in software or system testing, ideally with hardware/electronics exposureStrong Python programming skills for test automation (e.G. PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar)Ability to define structured test scenarios from complex system and hardware requirementsExperience testing embedded systems, electronic devices, or hardware-software integrated productsUnderstanding of communication protocols (e.G. UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, or similar)Familiarity with version control systems (e.G.
