Based in Belgium – Field-Based Role

About the Company

Our client is an established international industrial manufacturer specializing in high-quality technical equipment for HVAC, maintenance, and inspection professionals.

With a strong presence across Europe, the company is recognized for its engineering expertise, product reliability, and long-term partnerships with distributors and professional clients.

Operating in a highly technical B2B environment, the organization combines innovation, operational excellence, and customer proximity to support sustainable market growth.

As part of its strategic expansion in the Belgian market, the company is looking for an Account Manager to both develop new business and manage an existing portfolio of active clients.

Your Role

Reporting to the International Sales Management, you will be responsible for the development and follow-up of the Belgian market, with a balanced role combining the management of existing accounts and business development.

You will act as a key commercial contact within your scope, working closely with distributors, installers, and technical partners to build long-term, trust-based relationships.

You will work in close coordination with the sales team and international teams, contributing to a structured market development and sustainable long-term growth in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Development

* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of active clients and distributors
* Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts
* Understand client needs and provide tailored technical solutions
* Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth
* Conduct regular client visits across Belgium

Business Development

* Identify new business opportunities within the Belgian market
* Develop new partnerships with distributors and professional clients
* Prospect strategic accounts while leveraging existing market presence
* Expand market share through a structured territory approach

Technical & Consultative Sales

* Promote a range of technical and industrial equipment to HVAC and technical professionals
* Deliver product demonstrations and solution-oriented presentations
* Act as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional salesperson

Market Strategy & Expansion

* Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer expectations
* Provide strategic feedback to headquarters
* Participate in trade fairs, industry events, and client meetings
* Support the long-term structuring of the Belgian market

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

Collaborate closely with international teams (sales, technical, marketing)

Provide regular reporting on sales performance and pipeline

Share market insights and customer feedback to support strategic decisions

Your Profile

Experience

* 4 to 10 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or technical sales
* Experience managing both existing accounts and new business development
* Background in technical sectors is a strong plus (HVAC, construction, industrial equipment, building materials, technical distribution, etc.)
* Experience working with distributors or professional clients is highly valued

Skills

Strong relationship management and negotiation skills

Consultative and solution-oriented sales approach

Autonomous, structured, and field-oriented

Ability to balance farming (account management) and hunting (new business)

Entrepreneurial mindset with a long-term vision

Languages

Fluent Dutch is mandatory

Professional English is required

French is a strong plus in the Belgian context
