Overview Who You’ll Work With This role reports to the Engineering Director in the Supply Chain Planning and Technology organisation. It works closely with business users, engineering teams, and product teams to ensure seamless warehouse operations and system performance. The role works on all warehouse management implementations globally.
Who We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who can help team members develop and support them whenever necessary, set priorities and deliver results across boundaries, and ensure an inclusive work environment while managing performance. You will support engineering team activities focused on designing, developing, onboarding and supporting customers to Nike’s SCPT platforms. You will evaluate research and development project results to ensure technical objectives are met.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Bachelor level in Computer Science or IT related discipline or any combination of equivalent relevant education, training and experience
Multiple years of professional experience, with a minimum of several years of management experience of high-performing software engineering teams
Proven experience working with Manhattan Active Warehouse Management is required, including hands-on experience with ProActive, Config Director, UDC config, etc.
Multiple years of experience working with Manhattan WMOS is required
Strong understanding of warehouse operations (receiving, putaway, waving, order streaming, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, etc.) and hands-on configuration experience on Active WMS
Experience with other Manhattan solutions such as Slotting Optimization, SCI Reporting, MIF / DIF, Labor Management, etc.
Manage work priorities for the team and act as the scrum lead
Strong experience with coaching, mentoring, and building a strong engineering team
Experience with other supply chain execution systems such as JDA, HighJump, and SAP
Proven ability to apply base Manhattan Active WMS functionality and configurations to address client/business requirements
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to individuals, small groups, and leadership
The Following Qualifications Are Preferred, But Not Required
Hands-on experience in scripting languages like FreeMarker, Velocity, and Python
Familiarity with cloud deployments and Manhattan Active architecture

We are investing in modular, configurable, and “API-First” capabilities that will be consumed by several downstream systems. You are expected to help coordinate with other teams and provide guidance and coaching for your team. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the globe. Your primary job is to build a collaborative culture on the team and empower your team to solve problems quickly.
