Job description
In this role you are responsible for supplier quality performance across a defined commodity supplier portfolio or geographical scope, with a strong focus on NPI and risk management.
* Own supplier delivery quality and proactively manage quality and compliance risks
* Perform supplier capability assessments audits and risk analyses
* Act as primary interface for escalated supplier quality issues and drive structured resolution
* Lead cross functional investigations with internal teams and suppliers
* Assess supplier and component risks during NPI including new suppliers processes and technologies
* Build and manage the critical component list to support risk based sourcing decisions
* Challenge supplier capabilities and product design feasibility to reduce manufacturing and technology risks
* Follow up First Article Inspections and corrective actions to secure NPI milestones
* Apply tools such as audits process validations FMEA DFx and lessons learned
* Lead critical component meetings aligned with stage gate milestones
* Report open risks and provide fact based input for go no go decisions
* Monitor supplier performance trends and define supplier development actions with procurement
* Drive sustainable supplier improvements in quality yield compliance security and sustainability
Requirements
* Master's degree or equivalent experience
* Five or more years of experience in quality and or engineering roles
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 is a plus
* Experience with internal supplier and process audits
* Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
* Project management experience
* Experience in medical devices or automotive environments is a strong asset
* Strong communication skills and ability to lead supplier discussions
* Autonomous working style with strong prioritisation skills
* Structured hands on and detail oriented mindset
* Fluent in English
