Project Manager (freelance)
Brussels, Belgium | Hybrid role (Ideally 2 days remote) | 12 month contract (extension highly likely)
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join an innovative mobility and technology environment working on digital solutions that support smarter and safer road management worldwide. This role sits within a forward-thinking team, where you will lead complex digital initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects within a growing program portfolio.
Your Mission
Oversee the successful delivery of complex digital projects within a program portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives, effective resource management, and strong stakeholder satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Program & Project Leadership
• Coordinate several interconnected sub-projects within the LBS program.
• Manage project scope, milestones, risks, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure strong alignment between technical development, product roadmap, and business priorities.
Operational & Financial Accountability
• Drive cost control, resource allocation, and planning efficiency across multiple project streams.
• Establish robust governance frameworks and performance monitoring tools.
Team & Stakeholder Coordination
• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product management, sales teams, and external partners.
• Ensure requirements are met, priorities respected, and deliverables remain on track.
• Lead project ceremonies, reviews, and steering committee meetings.
Digital Product & Agile Delivery
• Work closely with software development teams operating in agile environments.
• Use tools such as JIRA, MS Teams, MS Office, and HubSpot for tracking and communication.
• Optionally act as Scrum Master to support transparent and efficient workflows.
Industry Focus
• Contribute to projects related to road management, maintenance operations, and mobility-related digital solutions.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within road management, infrastructure, or mobility-related sectors.
• Track record of managing multiple sub-projects within a larger program.
• Strong budget, cost control, and resource management experience.
• Experience delivering digital or data-driven products.
• Solid understanding of agile software development (ideally using JIRA).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Full professional English proficiency.
Nice to Have
• Experience working as a Program Manager.
• Background in automotive, mobility, or smart infrastructure environments.
• Scrum Master experience.
• French or Dutch language skills.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve project management efficiency.
