As a Legal Advisor, you are responsible for the implementation and compliance of routine legal matters and supports the General Counsel across a broad range of legal activities.
Responsibilities
* You act as the first point of contact for legal matters relating to the company’s activities and refer enquiries to the appropriate colleagues in the legal department.
* You draft, review, and support the negotiation of standard agreements, including: IP-related agreements, commercial agreements and general business agreements.
* You maintain and update contract templates. You act as the internal point of contact for contract templates and their use.
* You manage legal documentation and corporate housekeeping, including: board minutes, shareholder resolutions, and powers of attorney, and publications in the Belgian State Gazette.
* You support data privacy administration and insurance portfolio follow-up.
* You maintain legal tools and digital systems.
* You monitor legal developments relevant to the business.
* You provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.
* You identify legal risks and propose pragmatic solutions.
* You monitor applicable regulations (e.g., pharmaceutical, data privacy).
* You support the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
* You contribute to compliance awareness and training initiatives.
Profile
* You have a Master’s degree in law
* You have a first relevant experience (law firm or international Life Science environment)
* You are fluent in English and French.
* You have good linguistic and writing skills
* You have a strong attention to detail
* You are hands-on, have a proactive mindset and are solution oriented.
* You have the ability to translate legal concepts into practical solutions.
* You ensure confidentiality in the processing and management of information.
* You are stress resilient and responsive.
