We’re seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the go-live and optimisation phase of major automation projects across the U.S. Working with a leading robotics and automation consultancy, you'll help validate control systems, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure seamless startup on-site or remotely.
You’ll act as a critical bridge between engineering, site leads, and client operations. This role requires technical depth, attention to detail, and strong field troubleshooting instincts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Validate PLC control logic and field devices during startup
* Commission sensors, drives, HMI and safety equipment
* Conduct FAT/SAT testing, issue logging and punch list closure
* Collaborate with control and software engineers to refine live systems
Key Skills & Competencies:
* 5+ years in commissioning of industrial automation projects
* Hands-on experience with Siemens or Rockwell PLC platforms
* Strong understanding of I/O testing, panel wiring, safety logic and power-up procedures
* Excellent communication and coordination skills for interfacing with cross-functional teams
This role offers flexibility with remote pre-commissioning and documentation, alongside optional
on-site support. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where no two projects are the same.
