Your main responsibilities are:
1. Defining and maintaining the Group tax strategy in line with Ageas’ business strategy, values and risk appetite;
2. Oversight of the overall tax position of the Ageas Group, including direct and indirect taxes, across all applicable reporting frameworks;
3. Identification, assessment and monitoring of significant tax risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation where needed;
4. Governance over tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting at Group level, including review of key tax disclosures and reports;
5. Strategic tax advice to senior management and internal stakeholders on business initiatives, restructurings, M&A activities and international projects;
6. Coordination of interactions with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors, including tax audits and tax rulings;
7. Leadership, coaching and development of the Group Tax team.
Your profile
8. Academic degree in Tax Law, Economics or Finance;
9. Strong expertise in corporate and international tax and tax reporting;
10. Experience with tax governance, audits, authorities and rulings;
11. Ability to operate at senior stakeholder level;
12. Strong leadership and people development skills;
13. Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
