About the role
Our client is a large, well-established organisation operating complex store and logistics environments across Belgium. They are currently scaling up a major digital initiative and rolling out new applications across multiple locations.
To support this growth, they are urgently looking for a Software Engineer to join their development teams and contribute to modern, business-critical applications used daily in stores and logistics centers.
This is a great opportunity to work on high-impact projects, using modern technologies, within a structured yet dynamic Agile environment.
Your responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and maintaining web applications linked to store and logistics IT architecture
* Working with modern front-end technologies such as Angular (v20+), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS
* Building, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications to ensure optimal user experience
* Integrating applications with other platforms and internal software systems
* Collaborating with backend technologies such as NodeJS, Java, and Python
* Investigating incidents, performing root cause analysis, proposing solutions, and following up on fixes
* Working closely with developers, UX specialists, and business stakeholders in an Agile/SCRUM setup
Your profile
Technical background:
* Strong knowledge of Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS (including CSS animations)
* 2–3 years of experience is sufficient; more senior profiles are also welcome
* Experience with Git and GitLab
* Basic knowledge of Docker, WebSockets, and OpenShift
* UX experience is a plus
* Comfortable integrating front-end solutions with other software systems
