Key Responsibilities
Analyze the Safety Case and associated safety requirements (including Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FTA, etc.)
Derive V&V strategy and activities in compliance with EN50128 (software for railway control and protection systems)
Develop, write, and maintain Verification & Validation Plans
Define and produce test strategies, test specifications, and detailed test cases based on safety requirements
Ensure full traceability between safety requirements, test cases, and verification results
Execute or supervise testing activities (unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing)
Review design, architecture, and code documentation to ensure compliance with safety standards
Participate in safety reviews, audits, and assessments
Identify non-conformities and manage corrective actions
Contribute to the production of V&V reports and safety evidence documentation
Collaborate with system, software, and safety engineers to ensure consistent interpretation of requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Systems, or related field)
Proven experience in railway signalling or safety-critical systems
Strong knowledge of EN50128 / EN50129 / EN50126 standards
Experience working from a Safety Case to derive test plans and V&V activities
Solid understanding of the V-model lifecycle
Experience in writing test plans, test procedures, and validation reports
Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jama)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent in French & English (written and spoken)
