THE CHALLENGE
As our new Group Controller, you will be the driving force behind the financial professionalisation of the Belipact Group (currently 9 entities). You are joining at a pivotal moment: we are in the midst of an ERP implementation (Odoo) and you will have the opportunity to co-build our BI reporting environment from the ground up.
You are not a back-office controller — you are an active business partner who regularly visits the shop floor of our different business units, bridging the gap between the numbers and operational reality. You report directly to the CFO.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Group Controller, you take ownership of the financial controlling function across the entire Belipact Group. You ensure uniform accounting standards, drive timely consolidation, and transform raw data into actionable management information. Working side by side with the CFO and an external partner, you will shape the reporting infrastructure that supports strategic decision-making across all subsidiaries (Belivert, Batimont, Ingelec, Battery4Industry).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
01 Group Accounting & Consolidation
Ensure uniformity of accounting practices across all 9 entities. Drive a smooth, timely monthly close at group level and prepare consolidated financial statements. Identify and resolve intercompany discrepancies. Safeguard compliance with local GAAP and group reporting standards.
02 Budgeting & Forecasting
Set up and coordinate the annual budget process across all entities. Monitor budget execution, analyse variances, and provide actionable recommendations to the leadership team. Develop rolling forecasts that reflect business dynamics and support proactive decision-making.
03 BI & Management Reporting
Together with the CFO and an external partner, build our new reporting environment from scratch. Translate data from the new ERP system (Odoo) into clear dashboards and steering information. Actively monitor data quality and consistency. Deliver management reporting packages that give leadership real-time insight into group and entity performance.
04 Business Partnering
Be regularly and proactively present in the different business units. Build strong working relationships with Business Unit Leads — understand their operations, challenge their assumptions, and support them with financial insight. You are their go-to sparring partner on financial performance, cost control, and operational efficiency. This active interaction with the business is a core part of the role, not a nice-to-have.
05 Process Optimisation & Internal Controls
Oversee internal controls and contribute to the further rollout and optimisation of the new ERP system (Odoo). Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reduce manual work, and improve the accuracy and speed of reporting across the group.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Background
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in controlling, financial reporting, or audit
• Experience in a multi-entity or group environment is strongly preferred
• Background in industrial, construction, infrastructure, energy, or B2B services is a plus
• Familiarity with Belgian GAAP and consolidation practices
Technical Skills & Capabilities
•
ERP
systems:
Strong affinity with IT and ERP platforms. Experience with ERP implementations is a significant advantage (Odoo preferred)

BI
& reporting:
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for building dashboards and management reports
•
Analytical:
Ability to dive deep into the details while maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture. Can translate complex financial data into understandable language for non-financial colleagues

Excel
& modelling:
Advanced Excel skills; experience building financial models, budgets, and forecasts
Soft Skills & Mindset

Languages:
Dutch and French (native or near-native), English (proficient)
