Context
As Social Media Officer, you contribute to the Degroof Petercam brand identity and reputation. You implement a social media strategy aligned to our corporate goals. You create, manage and grow our presence across social media channels to gain strategic visibility.
You combine creative and detail-oriented graphic designer skills with strong understanding of social media trends and video content production. You are responsible for creating visually compelling designs that elevate our brand across digital platforms, while also producing engaging video content tailored for social media audiences.
Your position
Social Media
Content Development:
* Develop and manage an editorial calendar and campaigns to drive engagement on expertise, corporate, employer branding related topic
* Design and optimize graphics tailored for each platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
* Curate, manage and share content of interest to members
* Stay up to date with social media design trends, platform updates, and audience preferences.
Engagement
* Monitoring, moderation, response and escalation of community activity
* Facilitate the onboarding of new users and connections among users
* Promote and highlight ideal member behavior and ambassadorship
Management And Reporting
* Identify user's needs and help designing communities reaching their specific purposes
* Identify ambassadors and train key internal stakeholders
* Gather and analyse feedback
Technical Feedback
* Manage and administer social platforms and tools
* Analyze new features and recommend social media tools
Brand & Creative Strategy
* Contribute creative ideas for campaigns and new content formats.
* Ensure all designs align with the company's brand identity and awareness and visibility goals.
Graphic Design
* Develop creative assets for digital media, including social media posts, ads, banners, infographics.
* Maintain brand consistency across all materials and channels.
* Collaborate with content teams to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
Video Production
* Create, edit, and optimize short-form and long-form video content for social platforms.
* Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling.
Skills
* Engagement and people skills: to foster relationship development, understand motivations and keep conversations ongoing (naturally open, empathetic, networker,…)
* Content development skills: to create multi-modal content designed to build engagement and drive value from multiple sources (critical thinking)
* Strategic and business skills: to follow up the program management, governance and training required
* Technical skills: to understand the implications of platform architecture, integration and analytics.
Your profile
* Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2+ years of experience in social media, preferably in a graphic design environment.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent tools (Canva, Figma, CapCut, etc.).
* Strong understanding of social media content best practices, trends and tools (Amazing content, Brandwatch).
* Experience with video editing and motion graphics, visual storytelling, typography, and layout skills.
* Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Full fluency in Dutch, French, English;
* Self-management (results focus, stress resistance)
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams
