You will oversee the controlling processes for Fluxys Belgium and all its Belgian entities within the Fluxys Belgium Group. Your role will involve preparing detailed management financial reports and managing the entire budget-to-report process. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights to support decision-making processes, enhance financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with different departments.ResponsibilitiesBudget-to-Report Process for the Belgian Legal EntitiesDevelop and manage the quarterly and annual budget and forecasting processes for all legal entities within the Fluxys Belgium GroupDevelop Multi-Year Plans (MYP) for these entities, in collaboration with departments such as Regulatory, Business Development, M&A, and Financial AccountingReview and analyze financial figures, explaining variances against the budget, forecasts, prior periods, Multi-Year Plans (MYPs), and tariff proposalsBudget-to-Report Process at Fluxys Belgium Group LevelManage the budget-to-report process for the Fluxys Belgium Group, including preparing financial reports for boards, audit committees, and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with support from the Consolidation departmentPrepare the Medium Term Plan (MTP) for the Belgium GroupParticipate in the external reporting process, including the preparation of the annual report, works council report, and press releases for all financial mattersInvestor RelationsRespond to financial inquiries from investors in close collaboration with the external communications departmentPrepare investor presentations and participate in roadshowsCost Allocation Monitoring and SLAsMonitor cost allocations between departments and entitiesCoordinate the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Collaborate with the Human Resources department on the budget reporting process for staffing costs to ensure optimal cost allocationStakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to deliver financial insights and recommendationsProvide financial expertise and guidance to business units to enhance performance and achieve strategic objectivesLead and mentor the controlling team, fostering a culture of continuous improvementQualificationsYou hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldYou bring at least 5 years of experience in a controlling or financial management role in an industrial environment, or in audit consultancyYou excel at analyzing complex financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insightsYou have excellent communication skills and can present financial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholdersYou are proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced knowledge of ExcelYou have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting and analysisYou possess strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlinesYou have strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholdersExperience in the energy sector and or in a regulatory environment is a plusExperience in managing a team would be a strong assetA good command of Dutch, French, and English is essential for this role.
