Position Summary The Vice President of Commercial Strategy is responsible for defining and executing the company’s regional and global commercial growth strategy. This role combines strategic planning, business development, and investor engagement to position the company as a market leader in renewable energy solutions. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive new market entries, and oversee financial performance across business units while ensuring long-term commercial sustainability. Reporting Structure Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Direct Reports: 6–10 senior managers Key Responsibilities Develop and execute commercial strategy aligning with corporate objectives. Lead business development initiatives for new markets and renewable portfolios. Build strategic partnerships with investors, governments, and utilities. Oversee P&L performance across projects and ensure profitability. Collaborate with technical and finance teams on pricing and investment structures. Engage in policy and regulatory dialogue to shape energy frameworks. Represent the company in board meetings and investor forums. Success Metrics Revenue and margin growth across portfolios. Increase in renewable energy project capacity and investments. Investor satisfaction and deal pipeline value. Achievement of forecast and cost control targets. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or Energy (Master’s preferred). 12+ years in commercial leadership roles. 5+ years in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to manage multi-country teams and stakeholders. Knowledge & Skills Expertise in project finance, PPA negotiation, and public-private partnerships. Understanding of clean energy technologies and regulatory environments. Advanced financial analysis and forecasting skills. Strong communication and negotiation experience.
