What’s the scope?
We are the global company behind the world’s leading lifestyle denim brands – Lee and Wrangler. Customers love our brands and can expect excellent service when they visit us all around Europe. For our Store in Antwerp – Belgium we are looking for a new Assistant Store Manager to join our Lee team.
As our Assistant Store Manager your responsibilities will be:
* Store Operations: You will ensure that all health and safety requirements are adhered to as per policy and that the store is operated as a safe working environment, reporting any near accidents in accordance with company procedures.
* In the absence of the Store Manager, you will ensure that all company administration is kept up to date and relevant information is passed to Head Office in a timely manner.
* When required, you will ensure that all deliveries are unloaded, cleared and brought to the sales floor quickly and efficiently and that all relevant documentation (discrepancies) are recorded on the appropriate paperwork and emailed to Head Office and subsequently entered correctly into the system.
* You must have thorough knowledge of inventory and all aspects of store operations, from operating the cash register to replenishing inventory and purchasing through and maintaining in‑store cash. You will ensure that all employees use their own personal PIN number when operating the cash register.
* Team activation: You will ensure a high level of customer service and encourage, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve their daily KPI’s. You will assist the Store Manager in building a team that both individually and collectively embraces the true meaning of the brand and fully understands company policies and procedures.
* Through effective communication, you foster an environment on the sales floor that allows associates to contribute ideas within the store. You identify potential training and development needs for individuals based on employee performance.
* You create an inspiring, inviting shopping experience for the customer.
Experience/Education:
* You already have experience in retail and a passion for fashion and denim
* Enjoy selling and dealing with people
* Customer experience and a high standard of customer orientation
* Credibility in leading a team
* Experience in handling all relevant administrative tasks
* General social media knowledge and interest in digital trends
* Friendly, reliable and trustworthy appearance and a well‑groomed appearance
* Good numerical understanding and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
* Flexibility in terms of working shifts on weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime if necessary
