TITLE: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - SENIOR
Location : 1000 Brussels – BE
Duration: 6 Months extendable.
Type: Hybrid (50% onsite).
Language: DUTCH, FRENCH and ENGLISH.
DESCRIPTION:
within the Finance department, Management Control Cost Functions' main scope is providing the expertise in the area of bank's costs. The department is responsible for cost control and cost management in both a business view (IT, CSC, HSS, Data, ….) and transversal view (Staff Expenses, Rebilling…). Among the key responsibilities of Cost Control is the analysis and preparation of the backward-looking (monthly closings) and the forward-looking process (budgets and forecasts).
The Cost Controller is part of a team that is responsible of bank's main Support Functions (IT, CSC, FAC, Data, …). Within this team, s/he actively participates in the preparation and analysis of the monthly/quarterly closing process, as well as in budgeting and forecasting circles of some segments (Data/ALMT/…) within Functions. S/he collects, analyses, validates the financial data linked to these segments and provides the agreed reports and explanations. S/he is the key actor in controlling and understanding the spend and ensuring the predictability of these segments' costs. S/he ensures a high quality of the department's deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare the monthly closing for costs, meeting the appropriate deadlines and in accordance with the central instructions
* Prepare the budgets and forecasts, keeping the contacts with key stakeholders, maintaining the understanding the costs drivers and spotting main trends
* Carry on necessary reconciliations and ensure the quality of the reported numbers
* Support the sourcing of the data, validate the figures and structure the data into user-friendly formats
* Provide help in explaining the evolution of the numbers
* Ensure the good communication with other departments and provide guidance on figures
* Implement the improvement initiatives for collection, handling and presentation of the data
* Ensure specific deliverables
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics or similar qualification
Experience:
· At least 5 years' relevant experience in performance management.
Technical Skills:

Job Type: Contract
Pay: €81.440,87 - €98.079,33 per year
