About The Role
Step into a pivotal role where you'll work on engineering projects aimed at enhancing Germanium production facilities at the Olen site. Managed by the Project Engineering department, you'll take technical industrial projects from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities
* Define project scope in consultation with the client, identifying constraints such as budget and timeline
* Maintain ongoing client engagement throughout the project to capture, assess, and implement approved scope changes
* Prepare technical specifications and tender documents for orders, engineering firms, and contractors (both internal and external)
* Select and onboard external partners, including orders, engineering firms, contractors, and specialized resources, such as designers or outsourced project components
* Lead and assemble the project team, providing direction and oversight to all internal and external resources
* Oversee the technical design of the entire project, ensuring alignment with objectives and standards
* Monitor project progress and resources continuously, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget compliance
* Report regularly to stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and key decisions
What we're looking for
* You are an engineer with a minimum of 5yrs professional experience and already managed industrial projects
* You have a broad general knowledge of the different disciplines: Mechanics, electricity, piping, Civil,…
* Knowledge and application of all common project management aspects
* Academic thinking level (analytical but also helicopter view)
* Technical knowledge such as electromechanics or chemistry
* Good reporting skills
* You can manage and coach a team
* Dutch native and fluent in English
* VCA-VOL certification
