About the Assignment
For one of our clients in the financial services sector, we are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams in complex and fast-paced environments.
As Scrum Master, you will act as the Agile reference point for one or more squads, ensuring the effective application of Scrum principles and Agile best practices. You will help teams maximize delivery outcomes, remove impediments, facilitate collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This role combines Agile coaching, delivery ownership, stakeholder management, and operational execution within a large-scale Agile organization.
Your Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Team Facilitation
* Act as the delivery owner for one or more Agile squads.
* Organize, facilitate, and continuously improve Scrum ceremonies, including:
* Daily Stand-ups
* Sprint Planning
* Sprint Reviews
* Retrospectives
* Ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are properly applied throughout the delivery lifecycle.
* Monitor team progress, capacity, velocity, and sprint performance.
Agile Coaching & Team Development
* Coach and challenge teams to continuously improve their ways of working.
* Support teams in becoming increasingly autonomous and self-organized.
* Promote Agile values, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
* Act as an ambassador for Agile methodologies across the organization.
Delivery Support
* Support Product Owners in backlog management and prioritization.
* Assist teams in defining and maintaining the Definition of Done (DoD), sprint goals, and delivery commitments.
* Help teams overcome obstacles and remove impediments impacting delivery.
* Protect teams from internal and external distractions.
Stakeholder & Risk Management
* Facilitate communication between teams, business stakeholders, and management.
* Report on Agile delivery progress and methodology adoption.
* Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
* Coordinate effectively in environments with multiple teams and complex organizational dependencies.
Required Experience
Must-Have
* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Delivery Lead.
* Strong expertise in Scrum, Agile methodologies, and Agile delivery frameworks.
* Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching delivery teams.
* Experience working in large and complex organizations with multiple dependencies.
* Strong understanding of Agile reporting and delivery tools such as Jira.
* Knowledge of software development methodologies and project management practices.
* Experience balancing Agile coaching responsibilities with delivery ownership.
Nice to Have
* Experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
* Experience working with multicultural and international teams.
* Knowledge of Kanban and complementary Agile frameworks.
* Understanding of automated testing, continuous integration, and modern software delivery practices.
Languages
English: Professional working proficiency required
French and/or Dutch: At least one local language required
