We are currently recruiting for a Financial Data Analyst EMEA APAC for our Heart Failure division to be based in our EMEA & APAC HQ in Zaventem, Belgium
The Data Analyst position is a critical role to enable the commercial and financial leadership to drive systematic data support and data-based decision making for all topics having a direct impact on the financial success of the business unit.
It includes sales- and margin reporting, SG&A cost reporting & analysis, consolidation of large & complex data sets, ad-hoc data analysis as well as systematic data support.
In addition, the Analyst acts as a true business partner to the regional finance teams, helping them develop & maintain adequate reporting, including creation of new standards, that drive financial analysis & insights for them as well as for the commercial leadership teams.
What You’ll Do:
1. Review existing reporting and provide proposal for centralisation, simplification & optimisation which meets the needs of the financial & commercial leadership teams
2. Implement reporting & data solutions that help predict, improve and measure the success of key business outcomes with Abbott’s preferred tools: Power BI & Excel among others
3. Supporting HQ & regional finance teams on consolidation of data & data analytics
4. Maintenance of the reports & data systems in place and be the person of contact for data questions of stakeholders
5. Based on the reporting solutions in place provide analysis, insights & points of attention to regional and global management
6. Provide training to support the adoption and maintain documentation on processes and rules
7. Drive data accuracy, transparency, and standardization to support the business on forward-looking decision making
8. Active participation in improvement projects
9. Work with large, complex data sets to support consolidation and implementation of data solutions
What You’ll Need:
10. Bachelor or master degree preferably in Finance, Business administration or Economics.
11. Business & financial analytics experience
12. PowerBI & excel knowledge required
13. Related experience in the medical device or life sciences industry advantageous
14. Good experience with SAP ERP and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems preferred.
15. You like working with large, complex data sets
