The ideal candidate will have experience in selling engineering software solutions to oil and gas companies, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team, responsible for expanding our client base in the assigned territory and within the energy sector, particularly oil and gas.
* Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand our client base in the assigned territory and within the energy sector.
* Lead customer engagement strategies, leveraging our digital twin and cathodic protection solutions to address industry challenges.
* Drive technical discovery and qualification processes to match target business problems with our company's offering.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and collaboration with marketing.
* Build relationships with key players in the oil and gas industry, including asset owners, operators, and contractors.
* Represent our company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen our market visibility.
* Maintain detailed records of activities and forecasts in the CRM system.
About You
* A general interest in engineering or technology combined with a proven track record in sales and/or business development within a deep technology-driven software company is required.
* Having acquired this experience by selling to oil and gas companies within a small or medium-sized company is an important asset.
* Understanding of cathodic protection, corrosion management, and pipeline integrity is an asset.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with international colleagues, ensuring alignment across global teams and objectives.
* Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.
* Technical degree in engineering or a related field is a must-have.
* Fluency in English; additional proficiency in German or Arabic is a plus.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to diverse audiences.
