Let’s talk about the role...
As Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you are responsible for managing a team of technicians, engineers and subcontractors. You will plan the daily maintenance and repair tasks within your shift, taking into account the optimal deployment of material and employees.
You'll participate in the maintenance of automated systems and provide support for complex problems in our ASRS (automated storage retrieval system).
Together with the Maintenance & Facility Manager, you work on innovation and continuous improvement! Health and Safety is so important to us, so you will really promote safety and environmental awareness among your team and all employees at our site.
How you will make a difference...
1. Lead maintenance activities, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance of both mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery, is carried out
2. Provide technical support and possible follow-up to operators, subcontractors and technicians so that the maintenance plan can be realised
3. As a People Leader, you will support the team and ensure good cooperation between the teams and departments across the site
4. Participate in planned corrective (e.g. overhauls) and preventive work according to the prepared planning & standard agreements, and work on long-term technical improvements
5. Develop your team to improve their long-term performance and career development within VF
6. Ensure that maintenance and spare parts are deployed efficiently with the aim of ensuring plant availability and performance
7. Be responsible for drafting work permits and notifying subcontractors
8. Ensure the administrative follow-up of technical interventions to be carried out, reporting to the Maintenance & Facility Manager.
9. Create work instructions/procedures, maintenance manuals and create management dashboards to report on the performance of your team
Skills for Success...
10. Previous experience in a maintenance department, working with large-scale machinery, or technical equipment will be highly beneficial
11. A working knowledge of electromechanics and frequency controls will be a great base to start this role from
12. A sound understanding of equipment and systems such as PCS7, Tia Portal, Siemens S7, S7 graphs, allowing you to diagnose and make minor adjustments to Siemens S7 PLC programs would be amazing
13. A degree in a related field like electromechanics or automation could be advantageous, but certainly not essential
14. Confident communication skills, able to build relationships with others and work in a supportive team environment
15. A pragmatic approach, able to find solutions and solve problems
16. Supportive of your team and colleagues or maybe looking to develop your management and leadership skills further
17. Great IT and analytical skills
18. The ability to work safely and have no problem working at heights (Max. +/-25 meters).
19. The ability to work in shifts (Mon-Do: 6h-14h / 14h-22h; Fri: 6h-13h / 13h-20h), is key for this role
