Company Description

Job Title: Workstation Engineer – Service (3rd Line Support)

Location: Brussels (Schaarbeek)

Telework: Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site presence required

Mission Overview:

Join a dynamic project within a leading European energy transmission group committed to building a sustainable, green, and reliable energy infrastructure. You’ll work alongside internal staff and contingent workers to support the digital backbone of this transformation.

Role Summary:

As a Back Office Client Team Member, you will:

1. Provide 3rd line support for client-side applications and operating systems.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues from helpdesk and 2nd line support.
3. Participate in scripting, packaging, and distribution of internally developed and commercial software on the Wintel platform.
4. Collaborate with external vendors to resolve technical issues (, licensing problems).

You’ll be part of a team of 10 professionals focused on delivering high-quality support and innovation.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

5. Analyze and resolve complex OS/application-level issues.
6. Package and script software installations (silent/unattended setups).
7. Maintain and distribute software using tools like SCCM.
8. Document solutions and maintain technical records.
9. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

10. Languages: Fluent in English and either French or Dutch. German is a plus.
11. Experience: ~5 years in a similar role (10 years preferred).
12. Technical Expertise:Windows 10/11 in secure client/server environmentsMicrosoft Office and commonly used enterprise softwareClient hardware (desktops, laptops, smartphones, printers)Controlled software distribution (SCCM preferred)Troubleshooting at OS and application level

Nice-to-Have Skills:

13. Active Directory / Group Policies
14. Microsoft WINPE, MDT, Windows AIK
15. Intune experience
16. Scripting: VBScript, DOS Batch, PowerShell
17. Packaging tools and silent setup customization

Soft Skills:

18. Professional and customer-oriented
19. Strong communicator and team player
20. Detail-oriented and self-critical
21. Analytical problem solver
22. Skilled in documentation

Additional Information:

23. Work Authorization: Non-EU candidates must have a valid Belgian work and residence permit.
24. Contracting Conditions: Local purchasing terms apply depending on the contracting entity. Flexibility in PO location (Belgium or Germany) must be maintained.
