The Role As a Supply Chain Planner, you will manage intercompany supply and supplier portfolios to optimize inventory and service levels, drive cost savings, ensure timely deliveries, and lead improvement projects. You will also collaborate with Customer Care, Product Management, and Operations to support overall supply chain efficiency. What you will do
1. Manage intercompany supply and assigned suppliers to optimize inventory turns and maintain high customer service levels.
2. Utilize MRP and replenishment methods to reduce obsolete inventory and ensure product availability.
3. Maintain and update databases (MRP, safety stock, lead times) for smooth operations.
4. Issues purchase/intercompany/manufacturing orders and oversee the full order administration process.
5. Negotiate pricing with vendors to control costs and drive savings.
6. Ensure timely deliveries, update forecasts, and communicate shipment changes to Sales.
7. Resolve supplier issues related to delays, quantities, or invoicing; escalate when needed.
8. Verify and approve invoices; maintain organized records and supplier data.
9. Track and report supplier performance; manage day-to-day supplier relationships.
10. Coordinate with global facilities on inventory planning for new products and changes.
11. Lead or supports projects (. supplier reviews, vendor evaluations, reporting tools, KPIs).
12. Customer-focused and team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Support 3rd-party risk mitigation: perform annual risk analysis on distributors, conduct compliance due diligence on suppliers, vendors, and customers, monitor and report on activities, and assist in directed investigations.
13. Proactively stay updated of evolving regulations, laws, and best practices relevant to Victaulic.
14. Prepare and review government program requirements, including C-TPAT, ISA, and future FTZ opportunities, collaborating with product groups and suppliers to confirm HTSUS classifications and Country determinations.
About You
15. Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent through experience
16. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Expediting, Material Control, or related fields
17. Strong knowledge of materials planning processes and ERP systems
18. CPIM certification preferred
19. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Access knowledge is a plus
20. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
21. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
22. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
23. Strong written and verbal communication skills
24. Comfortable interacting across all levels of management
25. Willing to travel internationally on occasion
