We're currently recruiting for a talented RF Engineer to join a growing space systems team and contribute to the development of next-generation satellite and space communication technologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and testing of RF and microwave systems that enable reliable communications between spacecraft, payloads, launch systems, and ground infrastructure.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with systems, electronics, software, mechanical, and mission teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept development and architecture definition through qualification, launch, and operational support.
This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging programs that push the boundaries of space communications, satellite connectivity, and mission-critical RF performance.
The ideal candidate combines strong RF engineering fundamentals with hands-on hardware experience, analytical problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing space technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and analyze RF and microwave subsystems for spacecraft, payloads, and ground stations.
* Perform RF link budget analysis, frequency planning, and communication system performance assessments.
* Develop specifications for antennas, filters, amplifiers, transceivers, oscillators, waveguides, and other RF components.
* Conduct RF modeling and simulation using industry-standard tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, or Microwave Office.
* Support hardware development activities including schematic reviews, PCB layout guidance, and component selection.
* Plan and execute RF testing, verification, validation, and environmental qualification campaigns.
* Perform EMC/EMI analysis and support mitigation activities to ensure system compliance and performance.
* Analyze test results and troubleshoot RF performance issues during integration, test, and operational phases.
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful system integration and mission execution.
* Support launch campaigns, on-orbit commissioning, and anomaly investigations as required.
* Prepare technical documentation, design review materials, test procedures, and engineering reports.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in RF engineering, wireless communications, aerospace, defense, or satellite communications.
* Strong understanding of RF and microwave engineering principles, antenna theory, propagation, and communication systems.
* Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including:
* Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)
* Spectrum Analyzers
* Signal Generators
* Power Meters
* Oscilloscopes
* Experience using RF simulation and design tools such as HFSS, CST Studio Suite, ADS, MATLAB, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of satellite communications, modulation schemes, and RF link analysis.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
